Milliondays Thoughts after the UN meeting:

[millionday] Understand that many sites are going to announce many things to make you believe that this is to do with the RV but it is not -- this is not under any way saying that we wont see the rv though -- Iraq committee in Washington as we speak meeting with Biden -- many things complete and the meeting on Saturday is very important

[millionday] that article is very important that they said on July 19th there that Haus is showing you so -- hold your head high -- we are close -- the only thing is that this morning was about the UN presence and that is all it was though

[millionday] France reported that they all voted on the July 19th that they were released from chapter vII but -- they did not release them due to their relations with Kuwait

[millionday] the agreement with kuwait concerning the border and the port has to be complete but the vote has been done

[millionday] the presence of the UN is good and will help Iraq it was to run out on July 31st 2011 and is now through 2012

[millionday] the meeting taking place in washington is important and also the on going agreement building with Kuwait is happeneing -- their is an Iraq committee there now and the ambassader is asked to return -- the Erbil has been reported to be expected to be implimented before the meeting on Sat

[millionday] lets hope that is so -- the ministers are prepared and my opinion is they will be placed on Sat

[millionday] Iraq has minimized their agreement with Kuwait to they just want waterway rights and this is as minimum as you can get

[millionday] I wish i could tell you that it is done and that was the vote for the chapter VII but it wasnt -- the vote however is reported to have been done and they are holding them to complete the agreement with Kuwait -- the chapter VII is not released at this time but can change in a day and they are all working right now

[millionday] with the committee being approved for the Allawi party which was required and the Erbil being done and reported to be implimented before the Saturday meeting -- I am hopeful

[millionday] the thing we are waiting on is the agreement to be signed by Kuwait -- Iraq committee is there to ask them to agree --today -- and Iraq is in Washington -- we are still in the park for the next couple days

[millionday] just do not let anyone tell you that the vote 15 to 0 was to do with anything other than the extension of UN presence

[millionday] the port issue --- Iraq has said that if Kuwait will just agree to waterway rights for the use of the passageway that they will agree -- Iraq is doing their part now lets hope that Kuwait does theirs

[millionday] There was report this morning that 1000s of National Guard to Iraq today to be there for needed stability for some changes going into effect.

the chapter VII to be released -- they said there was a problem that is just the agreement with Kuwait -- they were making a point that they did not feel that it was internationally just for them not to have released them at the time of the vote --in other words to leave them under sanctions due to their relationship with Kuwait gave Kuwait too much control and they thought it was against international law -- what i got from that was -- they voted ? that may mean we dont have too many T`s to cross when they agree

[millionday] HDBOY yes i did -- the national guard has sent thousands to Iraq for security to ensure something goes smooth in some type of change that is occuring -- now that could simply be some people coming home or something else -- i would like to
think it is the small denoms moving around but -- havent heard that

A statement by the Presidency of the Republic received the Agency (news) copy of it: Given the preoccupation of the political blocs meetings House of Representatives and at the request of a group of them, it was decided that the date of the meeting the leaders and the heads of the blocks on the evening of Saturday

[millionday] Iraq to send a commission to Kuwait over Al Mubarak port, Iraq FM In the first official reaction regarding establishing Al Mubarak Kuwaiti port, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that Iraq sent an official request to Kuwait to stop construction works in the port until getting enough information about it and about its effect on Iraq from the counseling commission formed in this regard. “Cabinet expressed the government’s concerns regarding this project and called to stop its works temporarily until getting all the needed information. The suggested plan now is to send a second commission to Kuwait.

[millionday] The commission will be formed from experts and specialists in all fields and from different ministries in order to deal with this issue in a way that serves the interests of both countries. One shall not forget that Iraq is engaged to international decisions and to the binding nature of the seventh chapter. Therefore, we respect the sovereignty and the liberty of Kuwait in pursuing its interests. This commission was approved by Kuwaitis and it will start its works soon”, said Hoshiar Zebari, Iraq Minister of Foreign Affairs.

[millionday] To that Zebari stressed that the decision of withdrawing US troops from Iraq needs national unanimity and pointed that on Saturday there will be a political meeting that would include all the political leaders. The meeting aims atdetermining a stand in this regard and ruled out the possibility of expanding the period but added that Iraq needs trainers and military expertise in order to support the Iraqi forces. To That, Iraq Ministry of foreign Affairs called Iraq political blocs to unify their stands and speech so that it does not affect Iraq relation with neighboring countries.

[millionday] A statement issued by Allawi's office, seen by the Agency (news) on Thursday, "said Dr. Ayad Allawi, received a phone call from Vice President John Biden, was through dial-up discussion on the future of Iraqi-US relations." The statement said: "Allawi and Biden discussed the future of relations, Iraq - U.S. and reviewed the latest developments in the political process in Iraq" And the statement added: "The two sides stressed the need to achieve stability and security in Iraq through the national partnership to achieve a prompt and in accordance with the agreement of Arbil.
