Doctor Assem Azzam says the 83-year old Mubarak suffered a bout of low blood pressure and is in stable condition. Mubarak's lawyer Farid el-Deeb says he had a stroke and is in a coma. Youth groups insist in a public trial and warn that granting Mubarak amnesty would spark a new revolution.

Hundreds of thousands of protesters flood streets across Yemen to demand the ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, while thousands of the embattled leader's supporters stage counter rallies to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of his rule. Demonstrators in the southern city of Taiz carry black flags and placards that read "today is the fateful day." In the capital Sanaa, Saleh's supporters raise pictures of the president.
