Ray Update 5/3/2011
Just got off the phone from my contact and just wanted to share what I have today.
Not much is going on in Parliament. They are voting on a lot of small things such as reducing government officials salaries and raising military salaries. They are also voting on the HCL in parts.
I don’t totally understand why they are only voting on parts of it at a time but they are.
No mention of the ministers or voting on dropping the three zeroes yet.
He did tell me that Shabibi had a party at his house the other night that was attended by parliament people and CBI people. It was a party congratulating his son on his recent marriage.
Nothing more. I will be leaving town tomorrow for six days. I will stay in touch as much as I can with my contacts and will let you know anything I find out.
