I just had a chat with my Iraqi friend Mohammad's sister again. Her name is Asia.
She provides updates on the dropping of zeros, small denoms, and gives me an arabic lesson.

asia : though we have a religion occassion to celeberate 2 days ago

asia : so today is holliday
Rich: tomorrow also, right
Rich: independence day on 30th?
asia : no just yesterday and today
asia : the anneversary of Imam Al Kadhim
Rich: I remember the Kadimiyah Shrine in northeast Baghdad. I used to love that one. Very beautiful

asia : 3 millions or more Iraqis visits the shrine uptill the date
Rich: holiest shrine in Baghdad, isnt it?

Rich: dont you celebrate independence day on the 30th?
asia : u mean the withdraw of US army
Rich: no
Rich: I thought it was an older holiday (maybe from the british leaving in the 30's?)
Rich: oh well
asia : we dont have a celebration date june 30th

asia : so u are planning for the 4th of july celebrateion as well
Rich: yes we celebrate 4th of july
Rich: fireworks, the kids like them...
Rich: can I ask another Dinar question?
asia : yes u can
Rich: I read three articles from the Iraqi Central Bank, saying that the project to remove or lift the three zero's from the dinar was completed. So they intend to make the large notes like 25,000 will become a 25 dinar value? Is that how you understand it?
asia : yes
asia : i read about it recently
asia : and they are about to issue a currency that is eaqual to 100$
Rich: will that new currency be large, with three zeros? like maybe 100,000 dinar?
asia : its not clear till now all of these are just speculation not solid comes to the surface
asia : nothing
Rich: doesn't this change concern the iraqi people? or do you trust the central bank
asia : sure we trust the Centeral bank but in reall life nothing come according to the book especially in Iraq
asia : in my opion if they do so alooot of problems will appear
asia : thay why they are still hesitate to take that decision
asia : problems might occure at time
Rich: what kind of problems?
asia : many
asia : or let us be optemistic and say ""WE HOPE THAT IS WILL OPEN A NEW PAGE OF PROSPERITY"
Rich: I hope it will! Iraq needs this to be a blessing!
Rich: do you think the overall value of dinar will rise? higher purchasing power compared to the dollar?
asia : i dont know richard , we will examine this when we practising in every day
Rich: I only have two more questions about dinar: 1. are the small dinar notes in use currently? like the 1, 2, 5, 10 dinar notes?
Rich: or is the 50 dinar the smallest used
asia : of 1.2.5 and 10 are the smallest use
Rich: they are in use now? when did that begin?
asia : no richaard i thought u asked me about the 1000 ,5000 and 10000 are are being used now
Rich: ok, so no money smaller than 1000?
asia : no
Rich: my last question is, are they going to replace all paper currency with new currency that has kurdish language on it along with arabic?
asia : i dont know exactly what are they going to do,

asia : so how is life in USA
Rich: life here in America is great, only it's getting very expensive to buy gas
asia : oh u mean for cars
asia : so tell me which is great to live in America or Canada cos i dream all the time to see Canada
Rich: gas in america is .90 us per liter. almost $1 per liter
Rich: I think living in America is better than Canada, but I can not say for sure because I have never been there. I think if you ask a Canadian, they will answer Canada first
asia : i don;t know i a have a dream to see Canand and experince the freezing weather
asia : maybe some day
Rich: have you ever been in freezing weather? or seen snow? you dont have to go to canada for that; there are many places in usa that get cold in winter
asia : no no especially in Canada "MY DREAM"
Rich: even in Nebraska, it gets below freezing. I used to live there

asia : part of Canada speak French and the other part speak english
